Black Wedding Video
All weddings are beautiful and over my career as a professional wedding video producer I have seen many different styles. From the traditional British wedding, to Chinese, Italian, African, Indian, Vietnamese. It has been quite a privilege to be involved.
Each style comes with it’s own traditions. From Chinese Bride’s walking out of the home in the morning under a red umbrella to Italian’s tapping the champagne glasses in order to make the Bride and Groom Kiss. Having filmed many Black Weddings I find a trend of the Bridal Party walking into the church/ceremony in two’s, step by step to music. It is a well paced entrance and very elegant. Often the Bride and Groom proceed out of the Church/Ceremony dancing to music.
From our experience there is always entertainment such as a steel band, gospel choir in the church, Dancers, and after the speeches, which can take a while as guests are invited to make a speech, everyone is up dancing after the first dance to the DJ’s banging tunes.
Last year we filmed Sarah and Barry’s wedding in Kent. A white couple that had a caribbean feel to their wedding day. They had the steel band, gospel choir, breakdancers in the evening and they even had all the bridal party dancing during the church service to the gospel choir.
It’s amazing to see so many different wedding styles and again, it’s a privilege to be involved.
